No one likes bad breath, but did you know that bad breath could be a sign of dental disease? Dental disease is present in 80% of dogs and cats over the age of 3! In fact, it is one of the most common health problems with our pets. Having preventive dentals done, before there is an issue, greatly reduces the time under anesthesia and is a significant cost saving. Preventive dentistry procedures are available to patients with both Grade 1 and dental Grade 2. Check out the chart below and see what grade your pets are. The top row is before pictures and the bottom row is after a dental cleaning. You can see in the last photo the pet had many teeth removed.
In honor of Dental Health Month – we want to see our adorable patient’s smiles! All you have to do is send us your pet’s smile photo via the form below, emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, or via a message on our Facebook page and you are entered! All photos must be received by 2/28/18. After that, we’ll have a contest on our Facebook page with the winner receiving a free dental cleaning and digital x-rays! *Excludes extractions, antibiotics, pain medication, and bloodwork.
Thank you so much for participating, and please let us know if you have any questions at all!
