At American Animal Hospital we do our best to work with clients in regards to cost. We understand that pet care is expensive and that all treatment options may not be possible. Please ask your veterinarian for a break-down of pricing should there be any concerns that you may have. Payment is expected at the time in which your pet is treated, or medications dispensed. As a small business, we need to focus on the patient care and customer, and therefore do not have a billing department or the ability to bill for services. Every situation is different but there is preferential treatment given to longtime clients and their pets.
We accept debit, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, checks, and cash. Please be advised that payments will be debited out immediately. We at American Animal Hospital know that there are times in which unexpected illness strikes and costs are incurred.

CareCredit is a healthcare credit card that allows your pet to get veterinary care when they need it. Instead of paying the entire cost of care at once, CareCredit allows you to pay off your balance in monthly installments.

Pet Insurance
With the rising costs of veterinary medicine due to increased technology, American Animal Hospital recommends that you obtain pet insurance to cover your pet in the event of injury or illness. There are several companies to choose from. We know it can be confusing and difficult to select a plan but there are a couple websites that can help in the decision-making process.
We work closely with Trupanion Pet Insurance. They have a software system that integrates with us, so we can submit a claim right on the spot and have a decision and dollar amount covered in mere minutes. Our informative staff is happy to help answer any questions you may have in regards to Pet Insurance!
